This weekend’s tournament at the Baltic Sea: Boddencup 2010
Greifswald at the Northern shore of the Baltic Sea is the venue of the Boddencup, named after the bay near the town. The Societas augendae et colendae liberae orationis Greifswald invited debaters from all German speaking regions for the second time. Today, 28 teams from Aix-la-Chapelle, Berlin, Göttingen, Halle, Kiel, Jena, Magdeburg, Mainz, Münster, Potsdam, Rostock, Stuttgart and Vienna fought in four preliminary rounds, Sunday will stage another pre-round, semi-finals and the final. Tonight’s highlight is a barbecue at the beach by the sea. Chief adjudicators are Rafael Heinisch (EUDC semi-finalist) from Greifswald, Andrea Gau (Mainz) and Michael Saliba (Stuttgart). The tournament’s format is BPS.
