Heriot Watt Open 2011 Originality, quality and banter – that is what the convenors of the Heriot Watt Open 2011 promise on the tournament’s Facebook website. The Debating Society of the Heriot Watt University of Edinburgh is going to host the Open on 26 March. They also announced that one may expect “motions from a CA team that doesn't include the same old names you see time after time.” Chief adjudicator is Jordan Anderson who won the Warwick IV 2009, Lancaster IV 2009 and the Sheffield IV in the following year. Edinburgh University IV 2010

The Edinburgh University Debating Society invite debaters to their Edinburgh IV 2010. Chief adjudicator is Leela Koenig, very well-known as chief adjudicator of this year’s Euros in Amsterdam. Joining her is Victoria Smith, winner of various Scottish competitions. Speeches in the pre rounds are just five minutes. The registration is to be announced, included are food and beverages. Edinburgh Open 2010

Das University of Edinburgh Open 2010 wird am 5. und 6. Februar ausgetragen. Turnierformat ist BPS, Turniersprache englisch. Chefjurorin ist die diesjährige Weltmeisterschaftsfinaljurorin Kirsty Russell. Geplant sind fünf Vorrunden, Halbfinals und Finale. Der Teilnahmebeitrag beträgt 45 Britische Pfund (umgerechnet knapp 52 Euro) pro Zweierteam. Einfache Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten im sogenannten "Crash"-Modus werden garantiert.
