Rheingötter Debating Competition

Rheingötter Debating CompetitionThe gods by the river Rhine invite debaters to their "Rheingötter-Debattierwettstreit". It will be held in the OPD-style (three-speaker-teams) in Bonn from 12 to 13 of Februar. The chief adjudicators are Southers German Champion 2008 Volker Tjaden and German Champion 2007 Gudrun Lux. Welcome are mixed teams of all shades - experienced and unexperienced, male and female, old stagers and debutants on the German speaking debating circuit! CAs for German Debating Championship 2011 announced

The Debating Club Heidelberg announced the German Debating Championship's complete CA team.  Former VDCH-president and Western German Champion of 2008 Tim Richter from the Debattierclub Bonn will join the already announced Chief adjudicators Gudrun Lux (Debattierclub Bonn), Jan Lüken (WFI Debattierclub Ingolstadt) and Marcus Ewald (DCJG Mainz). The German debating Championship will be staged in Heidelberg from 9 to 12 June 2011. Format will be OPD, the open parliamentary debate widely spread in the German speaking debating circuit. On travelling to a very remote area – That was ZEIT DEBATTE Greifswald

“How far have you travelled?“is the starting sentence into any kind of conversation this weekend. It is the kick-off into the new season of ZEIT DEBATTEN series at Greifswald. Flirts, smalltalk - they all start with the "How long did it take you to get here" question. Indeed, the Hanseatic town by the Bodden, a bay at the Baltic Sea, is located in quite a remote area. Streitkultur Cup 2010

Mixed teams of all kind are welcome at the Streitkultur Cup 2010. That comprises novices and experienced speakers, male and female debaters, and even debaters from different institutions. The most renowned open competition on the German speaking debating circuit will take place on 11 December in Tübingen and will be held in the format of OPD (open parliamentary debate, a format developed by the hosting society), hence teams of three may now register via vorstand[at]streitkultur.net. Masters’ Cup 2010: CA Team nominated / Registration closes September 3rd

Hannes Budelmann, president of Deutsche Debattiergesellschaft (DDG), the German alumni association for debaters, announced the CA team of Masters' Cup 2010. Traditionally, one member each from VDCH and DDG executive boards are the chief adjudicators of Masters' Cup. This year, this will be the recently elected president of VDCH Jan Lüken and Hannes' deputy, DDG vice president Gudrun Lux.
