Doug explains it is \u201ca great opportunity for experienced debaters, adjudicators, and coaches\u201d to help \u201cshaping the global debating community\u2019s thinking about the activity we love.\u201d He is looking forward to welcome three to four associate editors in his team.<\/p>\n<p>The Monash Association of Debaters (MAD), founded in 1962 and <a href=\"..\/index.php\/20110331\/die-erfolgreichsten-clubs-der-weltmeisterschaften-stuttgart-bester-vdch-club\/?lang=en\">among the top ten of the world\u2019s best debating societies<\/a>, has been publishing the Monash Debating Review (MDR) since 2002. The Review offers a unique forum for debate related issues of all kinds. Therefore, the international editorial team relies on the opinion and expertise of some of the best debaters of the world who approach debating issues from various multi-disciplinary perspectives. In the most recent issue, published at the end of 2010, the editors gathered six essays from seven authors on 62 pages. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monashdebaters.com\/mdr_edition8.pdf\">The Monash Debating Review is ready for download on the website of the MAD.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You need not necessarily be from Down under to apply for the position of associate editors. Candidates shall<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> encourage the submission of manuscripts      from the worldwide<br \/>\ndebating community;<\/li>\n<li>analyse      and critically evaluate each submission;<\/li>\n<li>proofread      and edit submitted articles; and<\/li>\n<li>report      regularly to the Editor-in-Chief.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications will be judged based on the best combination of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous editorial and\/or publication experience;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Debating and\/or adjudicating experience;      and<\/li>\n<li>A brief covering letter detailing ability      to effectively fulfill the<br \/>\nposition&#8217;s responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Associate Editor role is a volunteer position and will not be compensated.
