From the 11th to the 13th of April the Estonian Open 2014, one of the largest tournaments in the region, will take place in the beautiful city of Tallinn. The Estonian capital has also been the battleground of the European Universities Debating Championships 2008.
\nThe tournament, hosted by\u00a0Rasmus Raag<\/strong> and Selene Gnadenteich<\/strong>, will have 5 preliminary rounds with 5 minute speeches, open semis and final with 7 minute speeches each. For all novice debaters, that is to say for those who have not been debating British Parliamentary Style for over a year, there is a special novice final.<\/p>\n

CAs of the tournament are Imogen Parkes <\/b>(UK; CA of, amongst others, Manchester IV and SOAS IV) and Steven Rajavinothan <\/b>(UK; final judge of 11 IVs, including Mancherster IV).<\/p>\n

Costs for the tournament are 80\u20ac per team and 30\u20ac per judge, if paid before the 31st of march. For non-baltic teams, there applies a n-2 rules for judges. Registration is open until the 13th of march, see the online registration form<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
