Strathclyde\/Aberdeen) in Closing Government and\u00a0<em>Random Oxford fresher, don&#8217;t forget the speaks bump\u00a0<\/em>(Cl\u00edodhna N\u00ed Ch\u00e9ileachair &amp; <strong>Ella McLoughlin<\/strong>, UCD) on the motion &#8220;When a dominant political party consistently achieves majorities with weak opposition, THW break up that dominant political party e.g. South African ANC and the UK conservative party&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Cl\u00edodhna N\u00ed Ch\u00e9ileachair was best speaker of both Glasgow Ancients (83 speaker points average) and Glasgow Women&#8217;s (82.33 speaker points average).<\/p>\n<p>Best novice speaker was Felix Culas from Durham with an average of 76.4 speaker points.<\/p>\n<p>Lucia Arce was best ESL speaker at Glasgow Ancients with an average of 81.3 speaker points.<\/p>\n<p>CAs of Ancients\u00a0were Nishith Hegde,\u00a0<strong>Eoin MacLachlan<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Kez Exley<\/strong> while <strong>Lucy Murphy<\/strong> and <strong>Hannah Tyndall<\/strong> CAed the women&#8217;s tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The tournaments was convened by <strong>Doug Jack<\/strong>, <strong>Eilidh Sheach<\/strong> and <strong>N\u00f3emie Katerina Gauthier<\/strong> with the Glasgow University Union with <strong>Skye Brettell<\/strong> and <strong>Ailsa Jones<\/strong> functioning as equity officers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Break:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Open:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Iconic Misandry<\/em> (Cl\u00edodhna N\u00ed Ch\u00e9ileachair, Srishti Krishnamoorthy-Cavell) &#8211; or &#8220;religious&#8221; values. For example, the 1993 Bangkok Declaration, signed by Asian countries, subscribes to a set of human rights based on &#8220;Asian values&#8221;, prioritising economic development over social freedom. The New York chapter of the organisation joined industry leaders in lobbying against New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg&#8217;s proposed restrictions on the sale of sugary drinks. Minority neighbourhoods in New York suffer disproportionately from the impacts of obesity.
