They debated against\u00a0We Gonna Rokc Dwon Two Dyslexic Avenue\u00a0<\/em>(Cian Luddy\u00a0<\/strong>&\u00a0Caoimhe Meaney<\/strong>, UCC Philosophical Society) in Opening Government,\u00a0I’m fine. It’s fine. We’re fine. <\/em>(Chris Costigan<\/strong> &\u00a0Amy O’Sullivan<\/strong>, TCD Philosophical Society) in Closing Government and\u00a0Bailey orders Asian Teck-a-Wei II: The Chopstick Chronicles\u00a0<\/em>(Bailey<\/strong> Reid,<\/strong> KCL &\u00a0 Teck Wei Tan<\/strong>, Oxford) in Closing Opposition.<\/p>\n

The final was chaired by\u00a0Lucy Murphy<\/strong> together with\u00a0Aodhan Peelo<\/strong>,\u00a0Chris Paschali<\/strong>,\u00a0Bethany Garry<\/strong> and\u00a0Jack Stanley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ESL final on the motion “THBT retribution should not be a part of the criminal justice system” was won by\u00a0A lack of arguments fuels our creativity\u00a0<\/em>(Moritz Neeb<\/strong>\u00a0& Marcel John,\u00a0<\/strong>BDU) against KDP Grzegorczyk & Jar\u00f3n<\/em> (Krzysztof Jar\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Monika Grzegorczyk<\/strong>, Krakow) in Opening Government,\u00a0Lund 1\u00a0<\/em>(Chantal Girishan<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Florian Mainz<\/strong>) in Closing Government and\u00a0We promise we didn’t vote for the AfD\u00a0<\/em>(Helena Hecke\u00a0<\/strong>&\u00a0Leonie da Col<\/strong>, Tilbury House) in Closing Opposition.<\/p>\n

The final was judged by Nick Zervoudis<\/strong> (chair), David MacDonald<\/strong>, Julie Davis<\/strong> and Vincent Koon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tournament was CAed by Aodhan Peelo, Bethany Garry,\u00a0Olivia Sundberg Diez<\/strong> and\u00a0Roel Becker\u00a0<\/strong>and organised by the UCD Law Society, convened by\u00a0Adam Stairs\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Laura Hogan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
