The team USA Red<\/em>\u00a0(Ella Michaels<\/strong>,\u00a0Nikhil Ramaswamy<\/strong>,\u00a0Ranen Miao<\/strong>) has won the 16th International Debate Tournament Ljutomer, Slovenia from\u00a0opposition on the motion “TH regrets privatisation of space research and travel<\/em>” against\u00a0<\/em>Logos Bermuda<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(Vasja Gro\u0161elj<\/strong>,\u00a0Iza Jerman<\/strong>,\u00a0Taja Kova\u010di\u010d<\/strong>) from Slovenia in proposition.<\/p>\n

The final was judged by\u00a0Anna England Kerr\u00a0<\/strong>(England) in chair, together with\u00a0John Tomlinson\u00a0<\/strong>(England),\u00a0Ela Jurko\u00a0<\/strong>(Croatia),\u00a0Luka Bakovi\u0107\u00a0<\/strong>(Croatia) and\u00a0Ann-Sophie Zeipekkis\u00a0<\/strong>(Germany).<\/p>\n

The best speaker of the tournament was\u00a0Nikhil Ramaswamy from USA Red with an impressive average of 73.67 speaker points.<\/p>\n

The tournament was held from the 8th till 11th March and was organised by\u00a0Gimnazija Franca Miklo\u0161i\u010da<\/strong> Ljutomer and Slovenian national debate organisation Za in proti, zavod za kulturo dialoga\/Pro et contra<\/strong>, Institute for culture of dialogue and convened by\u00a0Liana Miholi\u010d, Sa\u0161a Pergar<\/strong>\u00a0and Ale\u0161 Kustec.<\/strong><\/p>\n

48 teams from 10 countries competed for the 16th time in Ljutomer, Slovenia.<\/p>\n

The CA team were Anna England Kerr and\u00a0Bojana Skrt\u00a0<\/strong>(Slovenia).<\/p>\n
