After a weekend in Greece the Athens Open 2018 got won by \u2018Tel Aviv <\/em>A<\/em>\u2019 (Amichay Even Chen <\/strong>and\u00a0Idan Bressler<\/strong>). They spoke in the final from\u00a0Opening Government\u00a0<\/em>defeating \u2018Novi Sad kenobi<\/em>\u2019 (Jovan Petronijevi\u0107<\/strong> and\u00a0Milos Marjanovic<\/strong>) in\u00a0Opening Opposition, \u2018Tel Aviv<\/em> –<\/em> You\u2019ve been struck by a smooth POI<\/em>\u2019 (Annie Schwartz <\/strong>and\u00a0Gil Peled<\/strong>) in\u00a0Closing Government, and \u2018Random nomen graecum<\/em>\u2019 (R<\/strong>oy <\/strong>S<\/strong>chulman <\/strong>and\u00a0E<\/strong>laye <\/strong>K<\/strong>arstadt<\/strong>) in\u00a0Closing Opposition\u00a0<\/em>on the motion \u2018This house believes that the general approach of states should be to repatriate refugees once they no longer have a well-founded fear of persecution<\/em>.<\/em>\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

The final was judged by Nika Jelendorf<\/strong> in the Chair, and\u00a0Duncan Crowe<\/strong>, Harish Natarajan<\/strong>, Kallina Basli<\/strong>, and\u00a0Sivan Avitan <\/strong>on the panel.<\/p>\n

The Top Speaker of the tournament was Ido Kotler<\/strong>, from Tel Aviv with an average of 79.6.<\/p>\n

The tournament took place over April 27th<\/sup>\u00a0– 29th <\/sup>and the Chief Adjudicators were\u00a0Sharmila Parmanand<\/strong>, Harish Natarajan, Duncan Crowe and Dan Lahav<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
