The 20th edition of the SSE Riga IV was won by the mixed-team Balkans: Dangerously Emotional<\/em> (Melda Eren,<\/strong> Jure Hederih<\/strong>; Munich\/Oxford). They won the final motion “THW prefer a world where wealth is seen as shameful” out of Closing Government against the Opening Government Riga Mortis<\/em> (Roel Schoenmakers, Nastia Grishkova<\/strong>; Tilburg\/KCL), the Opening Opposition The Dark Knife <\/em>(Meradj Oidermaa, Johan Allen<\/strong>; Stockholm) and the Closing Opposition Tartu A<\/em> (Erik Haamer, Carl-Martin Keerberg<\/strong>). The final was judged by Tin Pulji\u0107<\/strong>, Tom Manor, Rasmuss Filips Geks<\/strong>, Edgars Kl\u0113tnieks<\/strong> and Assel Amangeldi<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n In the novice final,\u00a0Legionnaires of the Kalmar Union <\/em>(Andrew Mabon, Sebastian Christensen<\/strong>) won out of Opening Government on the motion “TH prefers a world in which people can’t lie”. They defeated\u00a0Belgrade A<\/em> (Milena Zoraja,\u00a0Aleksandra \u0106irkovi\u0107<\/strong>) in Opening Opposition, Alien vs Predator vs Brown vs The Board of Education<\/em> (Tomas Bajelis,\u00a0Justina Buskaite<\/strong>) in Closing Government and Hillary 2020<\/em> (Danielius Kaminski,\u00a0Mantas Baksys<\/strong>) in Closing Opposition. The adjudicator panel consisted of Vikki Perijainen<\/strong>, Gigi Gil<\/strong> and Rita Chudnovskaya<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Best speakers of the tournament were Melda Eren, David Metz<\/strong> and Marike Breed<\/strong> with an average of 80,4 speaker points each.<\/p>\n Best novice speaker was Anette Andresoo<\/strong> with an average of 77 speaker points.<\/p>\n The Chief Adjudication panel consisted of Gigi Gil, Sharmila Parmanand, <\/strong>Edgars Kl\u0113tnieks, Rita Chudnovskaya, Tom Manor and Tin Pulji\u0107. Responsible for the tab was Martin K\u00fc\u00fcsmaa<\/strong>.
