They defeated Opening Government Be my Whip\u00a0<\/em>(Lisa Knodt, Lion Seiffert<\/strong>; Maastricht), Closing Government The DDG was wrong\u00a0<\/em>(Luise H\u00e4der, Anton Leicht<\/strong>; Heidelberg\/M\u00fcnster) and Closing Opposition BDU Breaking Down <\/em>(Lena Kolle, Elena M\u00fcller<\/strong>; Berlin). The final was judged by Helena Hecke\u00a0<\/strong>(c), Samantha Pashollari, Ruben Dillmann<\/strong>, Aishling Kinsella <\/strong>and Abigail Leblanc.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One half of the winning pro-am team: Dino Wildi – \u00a9 Tilbury House<\/p><\/div>\n

The pro-am final was won by The road to Athens begins<\/em>\u00a0here\u00a0<\/em>(Illinca Berinde, Dino Wildi<\/strong>; Maastricht) out of Opening Government on the motion “THR the modern high prioriszation of sexual compatibility in romantic relationships”. They triumphed over the Opening Opposition Redericebreaker<\/em> (Ren\u00e9 Geci, Erik<\/strong>\u00a0Frehse<\/strong>; Heidelberg), Closing Government Trivium (sliding into your) DM(‘s)\u00a0<\/em>(Mara Burgstede, Daan Spackler<\/strong>; Nijmegen) and Closing Opposition Humbug Heidelberg<\/em> (Konstantin Kr\u00fcger, Wiona<\/b>\u00a0Gl\u00e4nzer<\/strong>; Heidelberg). The pro-am-final was judged by Ang\u00e9lique Herrler<\/strong> (c),\u00a0Jan-Gunther Gosselke<\/strong>,\u00a0Maria Heitmeier<\/strong>, Katharina Jansen<\/strong> and Abigail Leblanc.<\/p>\n

Best speaker of the tournament was Marius Hobbhahn with an average of 78.8 speaker points. In the novice category, Illinca Berinde and Lion Seiffert shared the top spot with 76.4 speaks on average.<\/p>\n

      The tournament was convened by the Tilbury House Debating Society with Helena Hecke acting as main convenor. The CA panel consisted of Aishling Kinsella, Katharina Jansen, Abigail Leblanc and Noam Dahan<\/strong> (not present due to personal reasons). Ida Holschbach<\/strong> and Priska Seeling\u00a0<\/strong>were in charge of the tab while Ang\u00e9lique Herrler was responsible for the tournament’s equity.<\/span><\/p>\n
