VDCH proudly presents: debatING.<\/strong> from Technische Universit\u00e4t Kaiserslautern! The Association of Debating Societies at Universities (VDCH) is growing ever more which makes Marcus Ewald<\/strong>, vice-president of the association, happy: \u201cVDCH is growing into a strong network that covers most universities \u2013 debating is becoming more and more renowned in Germany and neighboring countries.\u201d debatING. is member number 71 of VDCH.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2008 as a campus group, the engineers have already shown some activity, for instance at the recent Punk tournament in Stuttgart. Daniel Sommer<\/strong>, old stager on the German debating circuit from Heidelberg, was helping the group develop when he held a debate workshop in December. Bernd Klimm<\/strong>, president of de\u00adba\u00adtING., already announced to take part in the Western German Championship to be staged in Frankfurt<\/a> with a team from Kaiserslautern. On their homepage, debatING. present themselves:<\/a> \u201cMembers represent all faculties: Engineers, mathematicians, economists and even students of integrative social sciences.\u201c<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>VDCH is the umbrella association of debating societies at universities in German speaking countries and regions in Central Europe. Now, VDCH represents 70 debating societies in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands. VDCH supports its members as well as initiatives to founding new societies\u00a0and advocates the spread of debate in general. VDCH is also host of the largest and most important tournament series on the German speaking debating circuit, the renown ZEIT DEBATTEN series.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
