In summer 2011, a world debating championship in Spanish will be held in Caracas, Venezuela. Venue will be the Universidad Central de Venezuela, itself UNESCO world heritage site. From 25 to 31 July, Spanish speaking debaters are going to compete for the title, as is reported on the University’s website.

Details are scarce so far, but the Achte Minute editorial board is doing thorough research on the tournament. Try to find out if debaters from your institution feel confident enough to debate in Spanish and compete for the Spanish worlds title in Caracas.
