From the 24th to the 26th October 2014, conveners Khanh Van Le and Beenish Waris from the Jacobs University Bremen Debating Society will host the annual Jacobs Open in Bremen, Germany. Henrik Maedler, whom Chief Adjudicator Niels Schröter called the "007 of debating", will also be part of the organisation team. Registration for the annual tournament Jacobs Open 2013 in Bremen in Germany is now open. The 2013 tournament is taking place from 26th of April 7 pm till the 28th of April at 3pm on the campus of Jacobs University Bremen with CAs Niels Schroeter (Berlin Debating Union), last year's EUDC ESL-final finalist, and Tomas Beerthuis, last year finalist of the Jacobs Open.
