The tournament is international, therefore it will be held under British Parliamentary Style (BPS) rules with English as the spoken language. It consists of 5 preliminary rounds, followed by semi finals and a final. The CA-Team consists of Johan Båge, Duncan Crowe and Melda Eren. Also, mixed teams are allowed. Tilbury House wins Manchester IV 2014 in the category ESLA VDCH*-team was the winner of the Manchester IV 2014: Lukas Thiel and Moritz Justen of Tilbury House Debating Society won the tournament in the category English as a Second Language (ESL). After four preliminary rounds, the team from Cologne was pitted against teams from Glasgow, Lund, and Dalarna in the position of Closing Opposition. The Tilbury House Debating Society has announced that the Tilbury House IV 2013 will be staged on December 13th to December 15th. There will be 5 preliminary rounds plus the semi-finals and the grand final. CA will be Henk van Zuilen (Finalist of EUDC 2013). The registration will prospectively close Friday at 6 pm, the final will be done on Sunday at approximately 4 pm. Leiden IV: The SummaryThe Leiden IV 2013, from the 22nd to the 23rd of March brought together 53 teams (including teams from DK Wien, Berlin Debating Union and Tilbury House), competing against one another in a pleasant atmosphere, which can be attributed to the formidable organizational effort of the convenors, as well as the social and open-minded attitude of the mostly Dutch contestants. The location of Leiden certainly also played a part though. It can justly be described as an idyllic small university town, perpetuating Dutch stereotypes, concerning their generally friendly and tolerant attitude and a heavy, widespread use of bicycles.
