Debating at WUDC 2015: The VDCH-Teams Yesterday the 35th World University Debating Championships were officially started by the grand Opening Ceremony. The German speaking debating circuit is represented by a strong delegation this year. Seven members of the VDCH – the Association of German Speaking University Debating Societies are comprised of ten teams and ten adjudicators. Streitkultur-Cup 2011: The final break

The break of Streitkultur-Cup is here: The first team to break in Tübingen is Heidelberg Debating A (Sven Hirschfeld, Daniel Sommer, Franzi Kriegelstein), the second is Streitkultur Pheme (Peter Croonenbroeck, Anne Suffel, Jonathan Spanos). Free speakers breaking: Philipp Stiel, Lukas Windhager and Dominic Hildebrand. The top-of-the-tab team Xavers Zamperl from Munich (Franziska Schuster-Städter, Almut Graebsch, Jan-Felix Schneider)were not eligible to break since the broke something else: the pro-am rule. Boddencup 2011: CAs announcedNews concerning the Boddencup 2011: The president of the Debattierclub Greifswald, Rafael Heinisch, announced the CAs for the BPS tournament that is to be held from July 22 to 24. VDCH-speakers triumph at the ESL competition of SOAS IV 2010

The SOAS Debating Society continues to establish its IV as one of the largest debate competitions in Europe. On October 16th and 17th, 116 teams competed over six preliminary rounds at the School of African an Oriental Studies near King’s Cross in London. For VDCH-debaters, this was a particularly successful weekend. The final was won by Harish Natarjan and Matilda Wnek (Cambridge H). Auftaktveranstaltung der Hanse Debating Union Bremen

Nach einem Sieg gegen den FC Augsburg am Montagabend steht der FC St. Pauli nun praktisch als Aufsteiger in die Fußball-Bundesliga fest. Damit wird es im nächsten Jahr erstmals seit 2004 wieder zwei erstklassige Teams aus derselben Stadt geben.
